tasyāstadvacanaṃ śrutvā hāhetyuktvā mahāmuniḥ /
nipapāta tadā bhūmau chinnamūla iva drumaḥ //
Hearing her word, saying 'Alas, alas!', the great sage / then fell to the ground like a tree cut down at the root.
