śrīmārkaṇḍeya uvāca:
suvarṇaṃ rajataṃ tāmraṃ maṇimauktikameva ca /
bhūmidānaṃ ca godānaṃ mocayat paśubhānnaram //
Śrī Mārkaṇḍeya said: / 'Gold, silver, copper, and gems and pearls, / the gift of land, and the gift of cows—these liberate a man who possesses cattle.
