āsītpurā mahāvīryo dānavo baladarpitaḥ /
martye na tādṛśaḥ kaścid vikrameṇa balena vā //

Īśvara said: / Formerly, there was a dānava of great heroism, arrogant with strength; / in the mortal world there was none like him in prowess or might.
