śrīmaheśa uvāca:
praviṣṭo dānavo yatra kathayāmi narādhipa /
pātālalokamāśritya kanyā vidhvaṃsate tu saḥ //
The venerable Maheśa said: / Where the Dānava entered, I shall tell, O king: / taking refuge in the world of Pātāla, he violates maidens.
