dhurīṣu niścalāḥ kecitkecidyūpeṣu saṃsthitāḥ /
kecitsyandanasaṃstambhāḥ kecitsyandanaveṣṭakāḥ //

some were motionless upon the shafts, some were stationed on the posts; / some were the chariot-pillars, some were the chariot-guards;
