īśvara uvāca:
pibāsya rudhiraṃ bhadre yatheṣṭaṃ dānavasya ca /
nipatadrudhiraṃ bhūmau durge gṛhṇīṣva māciram //
Īśvara said: / "Drink his blood, O auspicious lady, as much as you wish, of this Dānava; / catch the blood falling to the ground, O Durgā, without delay!
