mārkaṇḍeya uvāca:
andhakaṃ tu nihatyātha devadevo maheśvaraḥ /
umayā sahito rudraḥ kailāsamagamannagam //

Mārkaṇḍeya said: / Having slain Andhaka, the god of gods, Maheśvara, / Rudra, accompanied by Umā, went to Mount Kailāsa.
