na cāvāptā tu sā kanyā mahādevāṅgasaṃbhavā /
sahomayā tato devo jahāsoccaiḥ punaḥpunaḥ //
Yet that maiden born of Mahādeva’s body could not be attained; / then the god, together with Umā, laughed out loud again and again.
