apātre viduṣā kiṃcinna deyaṃ bhūtimicchatā /
yato 'sau sarvabhūtāni dadhāti dharaṇī kila //
Nothing should be given to an unworthy recipient by a wise man who desires prosperity; / for indeed, this earth supports all living beings.
