īśvara uvāca:
śṛṇuṣvaikamanā bhūtvā kathāṃ divyāṃ mahīpate /
śravaṇādeva yasyāstu mucyate sarvakilbiṣaiḥ //
Īśvara said: / With single-minded attention, listen, O king, to the divine story, / through the mere hearing of which one is freed from all sins.
