dāhayāmāsa taṃ vipraṃ vidhidṛṣṭena karmaṇā /
snānaṃ kṛtvā sa śokārto vilalāpa muhurmuhuḥ //
He cremated that twice-born according to the prescribed rite; / taking a sacred bath, afflicted with grief, he lamented repeatedly.

|| iti śrīskānde mahāpurāṇa ekāśītisāhasryāṃ saṃhitāyāṃ pañcama āvantyakhaṇḍe revākhaṇḍe śūlabhedamāhātmye ṛkṣaśṛṅgasvargagamanavarṇanaṃ nāma tripañcāśattamo 'dhyāyaḥ ||
