uttānapāda uvāca:
anyacca śrotumicchāmi kena gaṅgāvatāritā /
rudraśīrṣe sthitā devī puṇyā kathamihāgatā //

Uttānapāda said:
I also wish to hear by whom the Gaṅgā was brought down; / how did the auspicious goddess, standing on Rudra's head, come here?
