anantaraṃ cedipatirdvādaśābdamakhe sthitaḥ /
tatastasyāstu yo bhartā sa mṛtyuvaśam āgataḥ //
Thereafter, the lord of the Cedis was engaged in a twelve-year sacrifice; / then he who was her husband came under the power of death.
