ṛṣaya ūcuḥ /
cakratīrthaṃ tu vikhyātaṃ cakraṃ dattaṃ purā hareḥ /
maheśvareṇa tuṣṭena devadevena śūlinā //

The sages said: / “It is known as Cakratīrtha. Long ago, the discus was given to Hari / by Maheśvara, the pleased god of gods who bears the trident.
