śrīmārkaṇḍeya uvāca:
tasyaivānantaraṃ tāta jalamadhye vyavasthitam /
luṅkeśvaram iti khyātaṃ surāsuranamaskṛtam //

The venerable Mārkaṇḍeya said: / Immediately following that, my dear, situated in the midst of the water, / Known as Luṅkeśvara, bowed to by gods and Asuras.
