dānava uvāca:
yadi tuṣṭo 'si me deva varaṃ dāsyasi me prabho /
saṅgrāmaistu na tuṣṭo 'haṃ balaṃ nāstīti kiṃcana //
The Dānava said: / 'If you are pleased with me, O god, [and] if you will grant me a boon, O lord: / I am not pleased with battles, [yet] there is no strength whatsoever [comparable].
