karaṃ prāsārayad daityo devaṃ mūrdhni kila spṛśet /
lāṅgūlenāhato daityo viṣaṇṇaḥ patito bhuvi //

The daitya stretched out his hand, intending indeed to touch the god on the head.
Struck by the tail, the dejected daitya fell to the earth.
