prahārair vajrasadṛśaiḥ kopena ghaṭikātrayam /
pāṇibhyāṃ na spṛśed yo vai vṛṣabhasya śirastathā //
with blows like thunderbolts, in anger, for three ghaṭikās,
so that he could indeed not touch the bull's head with both hands.
