śrīviṣṇuruvāca:
brahmā cendraśca rudraśca ye cānye tu marudgaṇāḥ /
āpadaḥ kāraṇaṃ yacca tatsamākhyātum arhasi //
Glorious Viṣṇu said:
“Brahmā, Indra, Rudra, and whatever other hosts of Maruts there are—
you ought to relate fully the cause of their misfortune!”
