strījitena mayā viṣṇo varo dattastu dānave /
yasya mūrdhni nyasetpāṇiṃ sa bhaved bhasmapuṃjavat //
Conquered by a woman, O Viṣṇu, a boon was granted by me to the dānava:
‘Upon whose head he places his hand, that one shall become like a heap of ashes.’
