dānava uvāca:
yadi māṃ necchase tvadya svātantryaṃ nāvalambase /
mamāpi ca tadā hatyā satyaṃ ca śubhalocane //
The Dānava said: / "If you do not desire me today and do not resort to independence, / then I will surely be killed, O auspicious-eyed one!"
