sarpā ūcuḥ /
yathā tvaṃ jananī cāmba sarveṣāṃ bhuvi pūjitā /
tathā sāpi viśeṣeṇa vañcitavyā na mātaraḥ //
The serpents said: / "O mother, just as you are our mother, honoured by all on earth, / so is she especially; mothers should not be deceived.
