maṇināga uvāca:
mātṛśāpabhayānnātha kliṣṭo 'haṃ narmadātaṭe /
tvatprasādena me nātha mātṛśāpo bhavedvṛthā //
Maṇināga said: / "O Lord, distressed by fear of my mother's curse on the bank of the Narmadā, / by your grace, O Lord, may my mother's curse become futile.
