bhādrapadyāṃ ca yatṣaṣṭhyāṃ puṇyaṃ sūryasya darśane /
tatphalaṃ samavāpnoti ākhyānaśravaṇena tu //
And whatever religious merit [is gained] on the sixth day of the month of Bhādrapada by seeing the Sun, / one attains that fruit indeed by hearing this narrative.
