naṣṭe loke punaścānye salilena samāvṛte /
mahārṇavasya madhyastho bāhubhyāmataraṃ jalam //

Mārkaṇḍeya said: / When the world was once again destroyed and submerged in water, / standing in the midst of the vast ocean, I crossed the water with my arms.
