tena devagaṇāḥ sarve saṃkṣiptā māyayā purā /
pralīnāścaiva lokeśa na dṛśyante hi sāṃpratam //
By him all the hosts of gods were withdrawn through his māyā in former times; / dissolved, O lord of the world, they are not seen at present.
