viṣṇupādodbhavā gaṅgā darśanātpāpanāśanī /
prasrāve saṃsthitā yasmāt tasmād vandyā sadā budhaiḥ //
The Gaṅgā, born from Viṣṇu's foot, which destroys sin by sight, / is situated in her urine; therefore it should always be revered by the wise.
