suparvaṇaḥ suto yānaṃ tyaktvā bhūmau praṇamya ca /
kṛtāñjalipuṭo bhūtvā brāhmaṇāya nareśvara /
samastaṃ kathayāmāsa vṛttāntaṃ svaṃ purātanam //
Having descended from his chariot and bowed on the ground, / the son of Suparvan, joining his hands in reverence, O lord of men, / [the brāhmaṇa] told him all his ancient history.
