śikhaṇḍy uvāca:
kathyatāṃ me mahābhāge sāścaryaṃ bhāṣitaṃ tvayā /
piturvākyena sā bālottamā hyāgatāntikam //
Śikhaṇḍin said: / 'Tell me, O highly fortunate one; something astonishing has been said by you.' / At her father's word, that excellent young girl came near.
