yasyāḥ smaraṇamātreṇa naśyate pāpasañcayaḥ /
snānena kiṃ punaḥ skanda brahmahatyāṃ vyapohati //
The heap of sins is destroyed by the mere remembrance of her;
how much more by a sacred bath, O Skanda, does it remove the murder of a brahmin!
