gataḥ pitāmahaṃ somo vepamāno 'mṛtāṃśumān /
padmayone namastubhyaṃ vedagarbha namo 'stu te /
śaraṇaṃ tvāṃ prasanno 'smi pāhi māṃ kamalāsana //
Trembling, the nectar-rayed Soma went to the Grandfather:
"O lotus-born one, homage to you; O womb of the Vedas, homage to you!
I have sought refuge in you, be gracious; protect me, O lotus-seated one!"
