soma uvāca:
dakṣaśāpena me brahmannistejastvaṃ jagatpate /
nirhāraścāsya śāpasya kathyatāṃ me pitāmaha //

Soma said:
"Through Dakṣa's curse, O brahmin, lord of the world, I am devoid of lustre;
let the removal of this curse be told to me, O Grandfather."
