brahmahatyānvitaḥ kaṇvo nistejā vyacaranmahīm /
vyacaraṃścaiva samprāpto narmadām urisaṃgame //
Possessed by brahmahatyā, bereft of luster, Kaṇva wandered over the earth.
And as he wandered, he arrived at the Narmadā at the confluence of the Urī,
