praviṣṭastu vane kaṇvastṛṣārtaḥ śramapīḍitaḥ /
snāto revājale puṇye saṅgame pāpanāśane //
Having entered the forest, Kaṇva, afflicted by thirst and tormented by exhaustion,
bathed in the holy water of the Revā at the sin-destroying confluence.
