dūrato 'sau dvijastyājya ātmanaḥ śreya icchatā /
hīnāṅgān atiriktāṅgān yeṣāṃ pūrvāparaṃ na hi //
that brāhmaṇa is to be avoided from afar by one who desires his own welfare; / [as well as] those with deficient limbs or redundant limbs, and those without [knowledge of] ancestry.
