ye vrajanti mahātmānaḥ saṅgame suradurlabhe /
mṛdāvaguṇṭhayitvā tu cātmānaṃ saṅgame viśet //
the great-souled ones who go to the confluence, hard even for the gods to reach, / having smeared themselves with earth, should enter into the confluence.
