rohiṇī nāma yā tāsāmabhīṣṭā sābhavadvidhoḥ /
śeṣāsu karuṇāṃ kṛtvā śapto dakṣeṇa candramāḥ //

The one among them named Rohiṇī became the Moon's beloved;
[only] showing pity to the rest, the Moon was cursed by Dakṣa.
