atītaṃ vartamānaṃ ca smarāmi ca sṛjāmyaham /
tairvinā cāhamekastu mūko 'dho jaḍavatsadā //
The past and the present I remember, and I create. / But without them, I am alone, mute, blind, and always like an inert stone.
