ye kathāṃ vaiṣṇavīṃ bhaktyā śṛṇvanti ca nṛpottama /
brahmahatyādipāpāni naśyante nātra saṃśayaḥ //
those who listen with devotion to a Vaiṣṇava tale, O best of kings, / their sins such as brāhmaṇa-murder are destroyed; of this there is no doubt.
