kārpāsaṃ yāmyabhāgaṃ tu navanītaṃ tu nairṛte /
paścime saptadhānyāni vāyavye taṃdulāḥ smṛtāḥ //

cotton in the southern direction, and fresh butter in the south-west; / the seven grains in the west, and rice is prescribed in the north-west;
