śrīmārkaṇḍeya uvāca:
tato gacchettu rājendra kalhoḍītīrthamuttamam /
vikhyātaṃ bhārate loke gaṅgāyāḥ pāpanāśanam //

Glorious Mārkaṇḍeya said: / Then, O king of kings, one should go to the excellent pilgrimage place Kalhoḍī, / renowned in the land of Bhārata, which destroys sins as does the Gaṅgā.
