jaya bhagavati devi namo varade jaya pāpavināśinī bahuphalade /
jaya śumbhaniśumbhakapāladhare praṇamāmi tu devanarārtihare //
'Victory, O venerable goddess! Salutations to the giver of boons! Victory, O destroyer of sins, giver of abundant fruits! / Victory, O bearer of the skulls of Śumbha and Niśumbha! I bow to you, O remover of the distress of gods and men!
