vyāsa uvāca:
yadi tuṣṭāsi me devi yadi deyo varo mama /
ātithyamuttare kūle ṛṣīṇāṃ dātumarhasi //

Vyāsa said: / 'If you are pleased with me, O goddess, if a boon is to be granted to me, / you ought to give hospitality to the sages on the northern bank.'
