narmadovāca:
yato yato māṃ hi mahānubhāva ninīṣate cittamilātale 'tra /
vindhyena sārddhaṃ tava mārgamadya yāsyāmyahaṃ daṇḍadharasya pṛṣṭhe //
Narmadā said: / 'Wherever, O noble-minded one, your mind desires to lead me on the surface of this earth, / today I will follow your path along with the Vindhya, behind the staff-bearer.'
