daṇḍena darśayanmārgaṃ devī tatra pravartitā /
vyāsamārgaṃ gatā devī dṛṣṭā śakrapurogamaiḥ //
Showing the path with his staff, the goddess was set in motion there; / the goddess, having taken Vyāsa's path, was seen by [the gods] headed by Śakra.
