śrīmārkaṇḍeya uvāca:
tato gacchenmahīpāla narmadādakṣiṇe taṭe /
sthāpitaṃ vāsukīśaṃ tu samastāghaughanāśanam //

Śrī Mārkaṇḍeya said: / Then, O protector of the earth, one should go to the southern bank of the Narmadā, / to the established Vāsukīśa, which destroys the mass of all sins.
