brahmā nārāyaṇākhyo 'sau kalpādau bhagavān yathā
sasarja sarvabhūtāni tad ācakṣva mahāmune //
MAITREYA.--Tell me, mighty sage, how, in the commencement of the (present) Kalpa, Náráyańa, who is named Brahmá, created all existent things.
