viṣṇoḥ sakāśād udbhūtaṃ jagat tatraiva ca sthitam
sthitisaṃyamakartāsau jagato 'sya jagac ca saḥ //
From Viṣṇu the world has arisen, and within him alone it stands; / he is the author of the sustenance and destruction of this world, and he is the world.
