kimarthaṃ mathitaḥ pāṇir venasya paramarṣibhiḥ
yatra jajñe mahāvīryaḥ sa pṛthur munisattama //
MAITREYA.--Best of Munis, tell me why was the right hand of Veńa rubbed by the holy sages, in consequence of which the heroic Prithu was produced.
