raṇe rājakule dyūte nityaṃ tasya jayo bhavet .
śastraṃ vārayate hyoṣā samare kāṇḍadāruṇe .. 14..

In battle, at the royal court, and in gambling, victory will always be his;
for this [knowledge] averts weapons in battle fierce with flying arrows. // 14
